Engineering
An engineering student is eligible to participate in the Engineering Co-op Program if he/she: - Has completed a minimum of 50 credit hours of course work and has been a University of Michigan-Dearborn engineering student for at least one semester (prior to assignment) and completed at least 12 credit hours of course work at The University of Michigan-Dearborn.
- Has completed the engineering core curriculum, or the equivalent of the core curriculum in the case of transfer student:
- ENGR 100 - Intro to Engineering
- You must have also completed the following courses prior to the work assignment:
- Has a preferred minimum engineering and minimum overall grade point average of 2.3 (maximum 4.0 scale) and is in good academic standing. Although efforts will be made to accommodate all engineering students in good academic standing, higher GPAs will enhance the chances of getting a co-op assignment.
Computer and Information Science: A computer and Information Science student is eligible to participate in the Engineering Co-op Program if he/she: - Is admitted to the CIS program, and must have completed 30 semester hours (sophomore status). Transfer students must have completed 12 UM-D credit hours. The student must fulfill the study-term requirements of the alternate, parallel, or summer-only plans. Details on the study-term requirements are available through the co-op office.
- Has a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.25 (on a maximum 4.0 scale).
