M.S. in Software Engineering
The Software Engineering master’s degree program in conjunction with the Rackham School of Graduate Studies is designed as an interdisciplinary program between CIS and ECE. It is a 30-credit hour graduate program, approved by the Rackham Graduate School, and is administered jointly by CIS and ECE Departments. The curriculum consists of required core courses and technical electives and provide opportunities to design and implement embedded systems and large scale software systems.
All courses have access to a wide variety of computing resources: local area networks of 200+ Pentium PC’s, Macintosh Labs, Sun Workstation networks and the CAD/CAM robotics labs. NSF and school-funded departmental labs include hypermedia, ATM networking, parallel and distributed systems. Student accounts allowing dial-in access are available to most computer facilities.
