UM-D Brick program FAQ
Who should purchase a brick?
Alumni, students, and friends of the university can take advantage of this unique opportunity to leave a lasting symbol of support for the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) at UM-Dearborn.
How will CECS use my donation?
Donations to the brick program will be used toward an endowment to fund scholarships in the College of Engineering and Computer Science.
If I buy more than one brick, can they be placed together?
Yes, but these orders must be placed at the same time, and there is an extra $25 fee per brick.
Can a group or club pool its resources to purchase a brick?
Yes. Collaborate with friends to make a special statement about your department, student group, campus club, or graduating class.
How does corporate gift matching work?
Many corporations have demonstrated their support for education by matching, and thereby multiplying, their employee's gifts to an educational institution, up to a set amount. For example, a $250 gift when matched by an employer would fund a brick at the next level of giving ($500).
